Roof repairs
We trace where the water is actually getting in before we quote. Slipped tiles, failed flashings, blocked valleys.
Roof repair details →Bexleyheath roofing enquiries can cover leak tracing, tile and slate repair, flat roofing, gutters and planned roof renewal or renovation.
We work out of 43 Hudson Road, Hayes, UB3 5EL. Ring first and we will tell you honestly how soon we can get to Bexleyheath.
Photographed on one of our own jobs
Bexleyheath is a classic 1930s Southern Railway suburb: rows of interwar semis with hipped roofs, plain or interlocking tiles, and bay windows. Roof forms repeat street to street, which makes patterns easy to spot.
Hipped roofs have mortar-bedded hip tiles running down each corner. When that mortar cracks and washes out, tiles work loose along the hip and water tracks down the line instead of off it.
South east of London, so a planned trip rather than a same-day call from Hayes.

Roof repair details →Full pitched-roof renewal when patching has stopped paying. Strip out, new membrane and battens, tile or slate.
New roof details →Extensions, garages, porches and dormers. We check the deck and the falls before choosing a covering.
Flat roofing details →Seamless GRP where the deck and the detailing suit it. Trims, upstands and outlets are part of the job, not an extra.
GRP roofing details →Repairs and replacement. Getting water off the roof and away from the wall is half of keeping a house dry.
Gutter service details →Standing seam and profiled sheet, mostly on extensions and dormers. Set-out has to be right first time.
Metal roofing details →A visible defect at one roof edge can be connected to rainwater overflow, failed underlay or a junction higher up. Inspecting the route as a system gives a more useful answer than focusing only on the wettest point.
Before you ring, jot down the postcode, which part of the roof is affected and when you first noticed it. If the weather changes what happens indoors, mention that too. Photos from the ground or the loft help. Never climb up on a wet roof.
Check breakage, movement and the soundness of adjacent tile or slate courses.
Look for signs that water is travelling beneath the covering before reaching the eaves.
Remove blockages and assess whether gutters and outlets are aligned for the roof area.
Everyone searching for the best or the cheapest roofer wants the same thing underneath: somebody who will not vanish and will not cut corners. That part you can actually check.
Our project page shows preparation, membrane and battens, roof-window junctions, slate installation and the finished roof. It is our own work, photographed as it happened. We have not relabelled it as a Bexleyheath job, because it was not one.

Not an emergency, but do not leave it for years. Dry-fix systems are one option, re-bedding is another. Which suits depends on the tile and the state of the timber underneath.
Yes. Tell us when the leak shows itself, where the staining is, and whether it gets worse in wind as well as rain. Photos from the ground or from inside the loft help a lot. Do not go up on the roof yourself.
Yes, on extensions, garages, dormers and porches. Before we can price anything we need to know what the covering is, whether the deck underneath is sound, which way it falls and where the water is meant to go.
Line by line, not on the total. Check what each quote includes for stripping out, materials, scaffold or access, skips and guttering. The cheap one is often cheap because something is missing from it.
